Its especially a wonderful time to realign ourselves with the teachings of the gospel. This weekend, we wil have the blessed opportunity to listen to a prophets voice. Will you be listening? We encourage all of ‘Session, Taking notes is a great way to solidity the teachings you hear and to help recall the messages spoken and spit felt Prophets stand as seers and revelaiors, giving us glimpses into future calamities and giving us guidance to avoid such pitfalls. Nothing compares to listening to a prophets voice and following the Lord's commands. The family's ancestors were honored j 2nd invited home while harmful spirits were warded off. It is believed that the need | to ward off harmful spirits led to the wearing of costumes and masks. Their purpose | Was to disguise oneself as a harmful spirit and thus avoid harm. In Scotland the spirits were impersonated by young men dressed in white with masked, veiled or | blackened faces. Samhain was also a time to take stock of food supplies and ‘laughter livestock for winter stores. Bonfires played a large part in the festivities. All other fires were doused and each home lit their hearth from the bonfire. The bones Of slaughtered livestock were cast into its flames. She's been married for 40 years and has 4 kids; Scott (37), Shane (36), Heather (32), Sean (28). She also has 9 grandchildren! Lynne loves to watch “NCIS" and relax by reading. She likes to snack on chocolate covered raisins and eating out at Olive Garden and Taco Bell. Lynne remembers the happiest moments of her life was when her sons, Scott & Sean, returned home from their missions. She likes to race walk with her sister (4 miles, 3 times a week) and play word games with her sons on her iPad. Lynne went to school at 3Y U, getting a Bachelors in Elementary ducation and got a Master's degree at UNLV. he has 2 siblings, which she calls “the best!” She admits to being OCD about keeping her house clean and is happiest with her family. Sisjer Sojlight: Lisa Lunsford Lisa, a native of Reno, has been married for 35 years in August and is the mother of two kids (Shannon and Kyle). She is the proud owner of 3 dogs and recalls her favorite movie/book as “Letters to Juliet” and “Somewhere in Time’. She likes to eat Italian food and Nora's Cuisine is her favorite restaurant. The first record she bought was a Beach Boys album, “Surfin’ USA’. Her husband, Ray, is her hero and she likes to ‘wear black or red. Lisa loves to work at the temple and would describe herself as friendly, happy, and compassionate (which is very accurate- she is our compassionate service leader!). She has a very positive attitude would like to one day, be more knowledgeable with a computer. The person she admires the most is Alice Schmidt. She's been married for 7 years. They got engaged 2 months after he got home from his mission, at the Idaho Falls temple. She's previously worked as a TV reporter/anchor, graduating from BYU-ID with a Bachelors in Broadcast Journalism. Julia loves to eat keylime pie shakes from Red Robin and has a celebrity crush on Robert Pattinson, Tom Selleck, and Elvis. She would describe herself as sarcastic, passionate, and conscientious. When Julia was little, she wanted to be a ballerina. She likes the smell of CoCo Chanel Mademoiselle and says her mother is her hero. She is secretly talented at Photoshop and is a great listener (with beautiful hair!). The best Part of her day is when she finally gets to sleep! Sisjer Seelighf: Shanen Rebenfs Shanon, born November 24", has three kids (Brianne- 16, Austin-12, and Dylan-10) and is originally from Las Vegas. She likes read and used to be on the swim, softball, and volleyball teams. One day, Shanon would like to learn how to scuba dive. She likes to eat Mexican food; Ricardo’s being her favorite restaurant. Her favorite movie is “The Sound of Music’ and loves the smell of clean laundry. The last book she read was ‘Eclipse’, right before the movie came out. Shanon loved PE and English when she was in school. She also loves all kinds of music but her favorites are rock & roll and ‘80s. The happiest moment of Shanon's life is when all of her kids are getting along at the sane time. She admits that her know, so that's TBA. Garlic Salt Bag of "Tostitos Scoops" i i i 4 17.3 Cups Chopped Watermelon r i i i i i i i i i Mix all ingredients together...Chill and Serve with Tostitos Scoops. i i i i i i 27, Lime Juice ! i i i i i i i i i i i i 1 i i | 2.1/2 cup grated carrots or bundle radis! fe i i i i i i i i i Optional: squares of cheese, and | and chilled peas Seafsed Pasagna Sbemea: coo 213 cup Shrimp 218 cup King Crab 213 cup Scallops meat 16 Lasagna Noodles, uncooked Mac & Cheese i j 41/2 cup Butter 412 cup Flour ‘Submitted by: YW Cookbook 41/2 tsp Salt 2 cloves Garlic, crushed 2 cup Milk 2 cup Chicken Broth 1 to 1 % cups uncooked elbow macaroni, rigatoni 414 tsp Pepper 1/2 cup Green Onions, chopped or spinach egg noodles (about 6 ounces) 2 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese 1 tsp Basil % cup margarine or butter 1 cup Cottage Cheese, small curd 2/3 cup cooked Shrimp 1 small onion, chopped (about % cup) 2183 cup cooked Scallops 218 cup King Crab meat % teaspoon salt 118 cup cry White Wine % teaspoon pepper % cup flour i i i i i i i i i i i i | Bounces sharp American or Swiss cheese cut into i | low heat until melted. Add garlic. Stir in flour and salt. Cook ' inch cubes stiring constantly until bubbly. Remove from heat. Stir in milk, i broth and white wine, Retum to stove and heat to boiling, stirring i constantly. Boil for 1 minute, Add mozzarella cheese, onions, ! basil and pepper. Cook over low heat until cheese is melted, | stiting constantly. Spread about 11/2 cups ofthe sauce in an i ungreased 9" x 13" pan. Top with uncooked lasagna noodles, ' overlapping as needed, Spread the cheese over the noodles. i ‘Spread with another 1 1/2 cups of sauce and then top with i i i i i ‘Cook macaroni as directed, drain and set aside. ‘Cook and stir margarine, onion, salt and pepper ‘over medium heat until onion is slighty tender. Blend in four, smooth to a paste consistency. Slowly pour in milk, string all the while. Cook over tow heat, string constantly, until your sauce has thickened. Boil and stir 1 minute, remove from heat. Stir in cheese until melted Place macaroni in an ungreased 1 ¥% quart casserole pan. Stir cheese sauce into macaroni Cook uncovered in 375 degree oven for 30 minutes. another § lasagna noodles. Spread seafood over this layer and top with another 1 1/2 cups of sauce, Cover with the last 5 lasagna noodles and top with all of the remaining sauce. If desired, top with 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese. Bake, uncovered at 350F for 35 to 45 minutes or until the noodles are tender.
