Not always—they are growing and learning, and they have their own minds and spirits. But they also are mirrors, reflecting back to us the ugliest parts of ourselves. . The sour attitude. The sharp tongue. They listen to how we talk to our partners, their siblings, them … They listen and they repeat our tone.
