Stocks Plummet Amid Fears About Italy's Political Crisis

The possibility that Italy might consider leaving the eurozone is spooking a lot of investors in the United States and elsewhere.

The widening political crisis in Italy sent stock prices falling around the world Tuesday, with the Dow Jones industrial average losing 1.8 percent of its value.
