Why Was Singapore Chosen To Host The Summit?

Both the U.S. and North Korea have embassies in the wealthy city-state, known as the "Switzerland of Asia," Singapore also enjoys good relations with both Washington and Pyongyang.

The Trump-Kim summit is the first between a sitting U.S. president and a North Korean leader. But how did it come to be held in Singapore?
