Joanna and Chip Gaines have juggled home renovations, a hit TV show, a burgeoning retail emporium and dozens of other projects, ranging from vacation rentals to magazines, memoirs and cookbooks, all while raising kids and running a 40-acre farm. But even while firing on so many cylinders, the Fixer Upper stars admit that sometimes certain malfunctions may occur. “I’ll feel like I know something is missing,” says Joanna, 40. “Then I’m like, ‘Oh, Crew is in the other room!’”

That would be infant son Crew, 4 months, whose arrival last June made Chip and Joanna parents of five, joining siblings Drake, 13, Ella, 12, Duke, 9, and Emmie, 8. “You definitely get out of baby shape,” says Chip, 43. “It took me a minute. I was like, How do you buckle them in? How do you change a diaper?” Joanna is quick to agree: “I thought it would all come right back because of Mom instincts, but it doesn’t! We’re still new to this.”
