CHILL OUT!

I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is it’s winter – when low temperatures, cold, clear water and lethargic fish threaten to put the brakes on the angling action in many southern estuaries.

The good news is the estuary fishing season is far from over, with late May, June and even July capable of dishing up some surprisingly good fishing for those prepared to rug up and tweak their techniques a little.

The other piece of good news is a matter of opinion and up for debate. But, over the last 20 years or so, I have definitely noticed a small shift in the seasons in the south-east of NSW.
