ini Spares now supplies this air intake hose for the Mk1 Mini and variants. Mini Spares claim it to be an improvement on the original design, which was made of a rubber material, wrapped over a wire coil. This version is also composed of rubber but is bonded to a nylon interior membrane for additional strength, which results in a stiffer hose overall. Additionally the wire coil is galvanised. The surface finish of the rubber is smoother than the original and has a slight shine which, they report, dulls once installed. Non-S original length was 45”, with 47” for the S. The Mini Spares
