Prayer prescription is a violation of right

ThE event hosted by the Gauteng Provincial Government in Tembisa last week could most probably have gone unnoticed hadn’t Chief Justice, Mogoeng Mogoeng, prayed a fervent prayer that rocked the foundations of the establishment.

The chief justice prayed, in part, that: “… if there is any vaccine that is of the devil meant to infuse 666 in the lives of people, meant to corrupt their DNA, any such vaccine – may it be destroyed in the Name of Jesus…”.

To the uninitiated, the prayer is based on the Bible, Revelations 13, that states among others that “…
