Each year, Australians squander around 7.6 million tonnes of food – that’s equivalent to 312kg of waste per person, and approximately 3 per cent of Australia’s annual greenhouse gas emissions. But Dennis Yong sees treasure in the stuff we toss out. Through his one-man operation, Furrmien, he converts unwanted produce into an array of tasty food products.
