Description

Jonathan and his identical twin brother, Charles, are obstetricians who share a thriving practice in Manhattan. Even Jonathan's wife Olivia, a psychologist, has difficulty telling them apart. When Charles is found murdered in his midtown apartment, Olivia helps her husband mourn the loss of his twin- until, as the months pass, she begins to suspect that it was not Charles who was killed, but her husband Jonathan. Her search for the truth plunges her into life-threatening danger. Clark's stunning new novel explores the family ties that bind, and what evil forces may break them.

Another great Mary Higgins Clark book! Loved every minute of this book.

I was ever so slightly disappointed in this book. I usually adore MHC books but this one left me a little befuddled. Too many characters were introduced early on and I mixed up names continually for the first half of the book. Also, I figured out 'who done it' very quickly and was frustrated with the slow story line. Perhaps that is just a measure of my familiarity of MHC's writing style. All in all it was a good read and I did spend a couple of late nights (early mornings) absorbed in the story.

This was a page turner with a fast paced format. The short chapters made it easy to read in short bursts, but I could have read it continuously. I am a first time reader of Mary Higgins Clark, but I am addicted now.

I read this paperback over ten years ago and became a fan of the author. The story was well read and I enjoyed it again. It's nothing like the blurb (which sounds like a book I want to read). I'm not sure if the audio file is mismatched with the title or just the wrong blurb.

I don’t feel that Medical Doctors should discuss patients private information as if it were neighborhood gossip (thanks to the Hippa laws they no longer can), also, they should not discuss things like “miracles” when discussing patient care. They are there to treat the patient. Not press their religious views into others.
