Description

Book Four of The Sword of Truth—the series first begun in Wizard's First Rule—returns listeners to the world of Richard Cypher, a simple woods guide who never dreamed he would be named the Seeker of Truth and become caught up in magic, war, and dangers so extraordinary that the fate of his entire world would hang on his actions and decisions.

The dangerous, fanatical Imperial Order, under the leadership of the power-mad Emperor Jagang and his multitude of demonic underlings, unleashes a deadly plague. To find a cure Richard Cypher and his beloved Kahlan Amnell must seek out the legendary Temple of the Winds, a fortress of evil sealed away for three thousand years. But the path of the Seeker of Truth is never an easy one—even if he can reach the Temple at all, there is no guarantee he'll ever return.

About the author

Goodkind was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, where he also attended art school, one of his many interests on the way to becoming a writer. Besides a career in wildlife art, he has been a cabinet maker, violin maker, and he has done restoration work on rare and exotic artifacts from around the world. In 1983 Goodkind moved to the forested mountains he loves. There, in the woods near the ocean, he built the house where he and his wife, Jeri, live, and came at last to tell his own stories.

If you dont mind long intimate scenes narrated by an old man its excellent even if that sort of thing bothers you its still a wonderful read

Excellent book in the Sword of Truth Series. As my first proper Epic Fantasy I am enjoying this series.

Great book, so very horrible reader. Terrible female voices and inflection. Just try and get through it. ?

I would like this audiobook much more if the name Kahlin wasn't pronounced Collin and other such mispronunciation. Seriously anyone taking over narrating a series should do more homework. I suffered through to get to the next book as I saw he doesn't narrate book 5. I must have angrily screamed the corrected name hundreds of times as that's 10% of the amount of times her name came up in this book. So Dike Hull, do better!
