- (2/5)I love Linda Barnes! I loved CJ Tritt’s narrations. They were the ideal author/narrator combination. I’m not sure why the narrator change was made, but this one articulates ev-e-ry dam-ned syl-la-ble, and ev-er-y D at the end of every “and”…and every single T is enunciated as if she was being paid by the consonant. It’s just too prissy-sounding, character-wise, and sounds like she’s reading it for the hard of hearing, or English learners. I can’t endure any more of it, and am giving up in chapter 4. Really really REALLY disappointing.
