Nice story, some lovely writing. I just love the beginning: Caleb the carpenter and Kate the weaver loved each other, but not every single minute." After the quarrel, Caleb goes for a walk: "... grew leg-weary, and, lying down to rest for just a moment, was overcome with all the greenness and slipped into a green sleep." Too sophisticated for the diaper set, I think... but short for young readers, so I'm not sure what age I'd recommend it to."
