I have always been a Goosebumps fan, but I only recently discovered the Horrorland series. Each book has a (very) creepy story involving children, followed by a chapter of the Horrorland tale. Each book brings further clarity to the Horrorland section, leaving the reader craving more. Unfortunately, I only have the first eight, so I am in limbo as to what will happen. I cannot wait to obtain the remainder of this thrilling series!

This book is about three kids, Daisy, DeWayne, and Michael. Don’t forget their teacher, Mrs. Hardesty. The three kids sneak in to their teacher’s house to get revenge for her making them get into her towns Garbage Can and dig out the cans and bottles so they could be recycled. While in their teachers house they were letting a black cat out in her attic because the teacher is really into monsters, and ghosts, and bad luck. While in the attic they hear the door slam shut and the teacher coming up the stairs to the attic. They hide and the cat lets out a very loud MEOW! Luckily the teacher didn’t hear it and she walks up to the giant egg and she SITS on it. The teacher falls asleep and the kids sneak out. Later the next day Michael goes back to the attic and the teacher sits back on the egg and it hatches. Out comes a big green monster. Mrs. Hardesty says come to mama little baby! So Mrs. Hardesty is a little wacko! I liked this book because it is mystery and scary at the same time. I gave the book a five star rating because it is a really good book and this is the first book I have read that is about monsters and a teacher hatching an egg so she can have a monster as a baby. Its creepy right. My favorite part in the book is when Michael finds out that his teacher has an egg in her attic that she is hatching.
