Robert Crais has been one of my favorite authors. Two of my favorite fictional characters have been his wisecracking, sarcastic PI Elvis Cole and his taciturn partner Joe Pike. The author brings these characters alive in his writings. They are so vividly portrayed that you feel as if you know them. His novels are well plotted down and gripping. He paints such a picture of LA from its glitz and glamor down to its dark underbelly. I am a long time fan and look forward to each of his novels.
