Description

When Cammie Morgan enrolled at the Gallagher Academy, she knew she was preparing for the dangerous life of a spy. What she didn't know was that the serious, real-life danger would start as soon as her junior year. But that's exactly what happened two months ago when she faced off against an ancient terrorist organization dead set on kidnapping her.

Now the danger follows her everywhere, and even Cammie "The Chameleon" can't hide. When a terrifying encounter in London reveals that one of her most trusted allies is actually a rogue double agent, Cammie no longer knows if she can trust her classmates, her teachers - or even her own heart.

In this fourth installment of the New York Times best-selling series, the Gallagher Girls must hack, spy, steal, and lie their way to the truth as they go searching for answers, recognizing that the key to Cammie's future may lie deep in the past.

Again I wish for the half star option. This is a solid 3 and half. Mostly because I feel like a lot of the book was set up for the next book. A place holder in the series which I understand is the peril of a continuing series like this one. Still fun, the romance is developed more but that isn't why I read this series. Hopefully the next book will have a little more Cammie kicking ass.

I'd read the Kat Bishop books, and some Ally Carter was just what I was in the mood for. Of course, this was the middle of a series, which I hadn't realized. Nonetheless, I enjoyed myself, though I did wonder what would happen if Cammie and Kat had a showdown. (Kat all the way!) (Sorry, Cammie.) (Dec. 2011)

The problem with tearing through all these books is now I have to wait until 2012 for the next one. Good thing there's so many other good books out there to keep me busy until then.

The series takes a darker turn as Cammie, in London with her friend Bex for winter break, is confronted by their Covert Ops teacher, now shockingly on the run. The girls are deperate to clear Mr. Solomon's name and get rid of his replacement teacher, who is more interested in getting down to SubLevel 2 than in actually teaching the class.Circles within circles, lies within lies--who can be trusted when everything they've learned seems suspect?I liked this series better when it was straight spy-school stories, but it's still worth reading.

Only the Good Spy Young was by far my favorite in this series so far. Cammie finds herself not knowing whom to trust or what to believe, and it seems that nothing will ever be the same again. This one was full of twists that I didn't see coming, and I found myself basically racing through to see how things were going to play out. Also, it reminded me even more of my love of "Alias" with lots of double/triple agents, child trained mercenaries, and a cast of characters that won't stay dead. ;) Loved it!

The Gallagher Girls books are my guilty pleasure reads. Ally Carter never ceases to impress and ONLY THE GOOD SPY YOUNG is a wonderful addition to the series! Sometimes, in series, there will be a book or two that serves as a bridge between more exciting installments, but this isn't the case with Carter's books. Each one is as action-packed as the last, there are more hilarious discussions and one-liners, and the plot is always twistier than ever. OTGSY delivers everything that I've come to expect from a Gallagher Girls novel... and more. There were definitely some twists that I didn't see coming. And there were some twists that I thought I saw coming, but I was totally wrong. And while some readers might be disappointed after realizing they've jumped to the wrong conclusions, I was thrilled! I'm rarely surprised by novels and Carter's twists had me turned completely around. For those of you who haven't read these novels, I assure you that there are always plenty of scenes with cute, smart boys. For those of you who have read the books, you know I'm referring to Zach. We learn a lot more about this spy boy in OTGSY, much to my delight! I can never get enough of his and Cammie's poking at one another! The tension and chemistry between the two is always fun and is definitely one of my favorite aspects of the novel. Carter always ends each Gallagher Girl novels on a note that will torture me in months I spend waiting for the next book. She's always sure to wrap up what's just happened in the current novel and then she introduces something huge and then promptly ends the book. Which leaves me all wound up because I must know what happens next! The ending of OTGSY is no exception and I'm extremely interested to see how the next book will turn out. It's going to be so much different than the previous books... there are so many options for what could happen next!I highly recommend all of Carter's novels, including the first in her new series, HEIST SOCIETY. They're always fun and filled with strong female characters and cute boys!

I am going to go all fan girly on this review because I absolutely loved this book. Ally Carter exceeded all expectations with this fourth installment in the Gallagher Girls series. I brought this book and could not stop reading it once I started it was that good. I am going to try to keep this as spoiler free as possible because, believe me, there are tons of spoilers. This book was so jammed packed with mysteries, adventure, betrayals, action, and romance. I loved every minute of reading it. Starting from the first chapter, literally, Ally Carter takes you on an amazing read. The story starts right away and does not let you go until the last page, leaving you dying for more. So much happen in this installment of the Gallagher Girls series, answering many questions I was left with from prior books. It's really hard to try to keep this review non-spoilery because much of the awesomeness of this book is from many of the secrets that were revealed. This series has grown so much from its first book, I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You. I love now that the plots are less frivolous, and more real. Your truly seeing the dangerous of being a spy and the difficult decisions that Cammie must make. This book, by far, is currently my favorite in the series. It had everything I have come to expect in the Gallagher Girls series and so much more. I was literally yelling at the characters and points and gasping at others, it was so good. The fifth book in the Gallagher Girls series better come out soon because the ending of the book had me dying. I cannot wait to see what happens next with Cammie after what she decided to do in the ending. The fifth book cannot be written soon enough. I will definitely be picking that book up as soon as possible.

this one is quite a bit darker than the rest of the series - which I enjoyed primarily for its cute bouncy feeling, so a little disappointed here

The novel, Only the Good Spy Young by Ally Carter encompasses how a young girl struggles to protect herself, her friends and the secrecy of her school. In the beginning cammie struggles with the fact that the circle of cavan is after her and not Macy McHenry. Throughout the middle she perserveres with hiding and fighting for her self and her sisterhood in the Gallagher Academy. By the end she learned that one of her teachers, Joe Solomon, was not working with the circle. 272/272

Third in the adventures of Cameron Morgan, girl spy-in-training, and her adventures as a student at the Gallagher Academy for Exceptional Young Women.

Cammie Morgan is a Gallagher Girl, one of an elite group of girls training to be spies. She has been training for a dangerous life as spy for years. But now, a junior at the Gallagher Academy, she is facing serious, life threatening danger. It’s not just classroom lessons and theory anymore. In a previous book, Cammie faced off against an ancient terrorist organization dead set on kidnapping her. That’s when her life turned upside down. I could go into more detail than Amazon does, but I don’t want to spoil it for those who not have read the book. Now the danger follows her everywhere, and even Cammie “The Chameleon” can’t hide. When a terrifying encounter in London reveals that one of her most-trusted allies is actually a rogue double-agent, Cammie no longer knows if she can trust her classmates, her teachers—or even her own heart.Somehow I went straight from book one to book four. Even though there were some missing blanks along the way Carter does such an excellent job of storytelling that I was able to keep up with the general plot in book four, even though I have not yet read books two and three. This is what I like to call a smart girls series. Cammie Morgan is a strong female character with the brains and courage to carry the story all on her own. However, she doesn’t have to go it alone. Her roommates, her crush, and her teachers all combine to make this an interesting and well developed story. Each of the characters is amazingly strong and talented. Though I was able to pick up the storyline fairly easily without having read books two and three, I highly recommend that you read the books in order.Other books in the series include:I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You (Gallagher Girls) Cross My Heart and Hope to Spy (Gallagher Girls) Don't Judge a Girl by Her Cover (Gallagher Girls) Only the Good Spy Young (Gallagher Girls)Recommended for grades 6th and up.Rating: 5 of 5

The fourth book in the Gallagher Girls series. I think this was one of the better books and I really enjoyed the mystery -- even more than the previous ones. I'm excited to know what happens next.
  • (4/5)
If you've been reading and enjoying the series all along, you'll love this one as well. Book four has lots of adventure and intrigue and action and a brief appearance by Cammie's love, Zach. SPOILER FOLLOWS:When the book ends, Cammie still doesn't know why the Circle wants her, and she isn't really sure whether her dad is alive or not.

Holy crap this book had me enthralled. I mean the last book had a slight cliffhanger but it has nothing on the ending here. The whole book kept me glued to the pages from cover to cover and howling in anguish when I realised I'll have a long wait for the next book!Cammie, Bex, Liz and Macey have all grown as a result of the events of Never Judge a Girl By Her Cover and the attitudes and actions in this book reflect this. When Cammie's world is turned upside-down she no longer knows who to trust aside from her family and her friends.

This is the 4th book of the Gallagher Girls series. Cammie is at it again! At the end of the 3rd book she realized that the Circle is after her. Follow Cammie as she learns who her real friends are and who she can trust. She and her friends learn that they have been deceived by several that are close to them.

The story in ONLY THE GOOD SPY YOUNG, the fourth book in the Gallagher Girls series, is more action-packed than ever. Cammie's in the real world now. Things with Zach have gotten even weirder, and now Cammie is facing more danger than she knew she could be in. And since she's a spy, that's saying something. There's betrayal. There are near-death-experiences. There are mysteries. There is laugh-out-loud comedy and there are moments that brutally real. Oh, and there are terrorists. It was excellent. Probably my favorite so far in the series, actually. Readthemreadthemreadthem! I adore this series.
