About this audiobook

Most people would describe Katherine Berger as a responsible girl with a big heart, a loyal friend who takes care of those close to her, and the possessor of a wicked sense of humor. There was something about her that most people didn't know. "My name is Kat Berger, and I love porn."

When twenty-five-year-old Kat is dragged to a porn convention by her best friend, she's both embarrassed and nervous. The last thing she ever expected was to meet someone who makes her laugh like no other. This is a story about acceptance and friendship, and a love born out of the most unexpected of places.Contains mature themes.

I love Mariana Zapata books. Like they are some of my favorite and I usually give them a 4 or 5 star review. Which might be why I am so disappointed in this one. Something felt off about this one.
I think one of the biggest things about it how the main character Kat talked about other females. She was always very judgey and down right rude about it.

Absolutely disgusting - not sex positive in the least, and the main character is COMPLETELY disrespectful to anyone she deems as less worthy than her.

Such an adorable and funny book ❤️❤️ I'm definitely interested in reading everything by her !!!

The narrator is fantastic hence I gave it 2 stars instead of 1.
Alas, the story is very problematic.
A lot of slut shaming and objectification by the main heroine. And the fact she's the only POV doesn't help.
    Not recommending this to anyone!

I actually really liked this book. Its spicier than some of her other books with all the slow burn build up goodness. There are sayings/moments that don’t really hold up over time, but it is very reminiscent of this millennial’s younger days and how we talked and thought (ugh). Tristen may be my fav male lead from Zapata. Love love love the big goofy dog too.

    I really enjoyed Lingus.

Robbie and Kat are very different characters from others that Mariana has written before but the humour is there as always. Compared to other books I've read by Mariana, Lingus, is very crude and out there but I bloody love it. I really enjoyed the characters and their relationships plus the whole setting of the story is laughable but it works. The audio is hilarious and the narrators did a really good job of bringing across the characters personalities.

Lingus has the slow burn element that Mariana is the queen of writing but this is drawn out while spoon-feeding the reader little teasing moments, until you literally want to shove the characters together naked yourself.

I definitely think Lingus deserves more credit.

Compared to the other three books I've read by this author, this one was a bit of a letdown. It seemed like there wasn't as much character development, chemistry between characters, and the plot wasn't as entertaining. There was quite a bit of body shaming as well which knocked off a star.

This was an appropriate 2nd book to finish at the beginning of 2017, thanks to my new friend for the recommendation, it's a genre I don't read and wouldn't have read without the recommendation and I really enjoyed it.

I adored this story. I had been told that it was wonderful over and over, but I had never even taken the time to read the blurb. I had no idea it involved porn stars. What a nice surprise! I love the interaction between all the friends. The way they support each other and the banter are great. I developed a crush on both the male and female leads. This is a must read for RomCom lovers.

I LOVE this book. It's sweet, funny, sassy, and sexy. But it's not really about sex at all and I hesitate to classify it as a romance novel. It's my favorite of Mariana Zapata's and that says a lot. She has become one of my favorite authors.
