    An impassioned plea for change, that will make you squirm as it promotes a new set of thoughts and actions for the future. I read it in one sitting. I have nominated this book for a general book discussion at my Unitarian Universalist congregation, but I am not sure I will urge the group to choose it. Certainly, it offers much food for tough thought.

    A must read for all. A beautiful plea from the Dalai Lama on the importance of love, compassion and fraternity. I especially admire his view on the love of mothers and it’s effects on humans. As a man, I am an ardent believer that women are the salvation of humanity. However I believe the most powerful message of this book is his renunciation of all religions and nationalism. Previous generations to mine are lost, they are a product of history and it’s faults. The future is our hope, which is this book’s ultimate message. Thank you Dalai Lama and Sofia Stril-Rever for these words of hope and love.
