It was a cute little story. I feel like a lot of it was spread out but it was good to see little about Cass and Nesta. She really got on my nerves a little but I know the next book will explain more about what's going on with her because this attitude is giving me nothing. ??

2.5 stars. Meh. I get that this is showing us the family outside of war and drama, which is nice, and helping segue into the next book with the different POVs...but like, I didn’t enjoy this on my reread. I like extra smutty scenes as well as anyone, but I was just a little bored this time.

I was so glad when I heard that sarah j maas is writing novellas about the court of dreams, I love this group of folks and am happy to get to spend more time with them. Obviously there is not the literal world-ending sense of urgency because the big conflict is over now, so do not go in expecting that tension. I appreciate the chance to hear more stories now that these communities are rebuilding and in relative peace!
This is NOT a children’s book though - that tag is 100% incorrect. There’s plenty of violent over- and undertones, and physical adult relationships. I always considered this series an adult one, not even young adult, due to those themes.

Completely pointless. I absolutely loved these series, and after listening to this short sequel I’m baffled as to why it had to be written. It doesn’t add anything at all to how the trilogy was concluded. Nothing. There’s no story. Quite disappointing.
