About this audiobook
Wanted: Discreet Dominant gentleman to teach maybe-submissive woman the rules of the game. No whips, chains, paddles, handcuffs, ropes, or toys. No nookie. No creepy stuff. No butt stuff. No gluten. Just the facts, Sir. -CuriousCat4
When I see the ad in the Portland Alternative's "Love Wanted" section, I can't resist the urge to respond.
Yes, it's dangerous--as a star forward for the Badgers I have a reputation to protect--but I miss the thrill of calling the shots in the bedroom and reading that ad is the first time I've laughed in months.
So I reach out to Curious Cat about the "educational" opportunity... A few sizzling--and hysterical--emails later we arrange to meet. I'm hoping we'll have chemistry, and I might finally be on my way to getting over my ex-girlfriend.
And then the gate to the beer garden swings open and in walks Hailey.
My ex is Curious Cat, and this experiment just got a hell of a lot more complicated. But I never back down from a challenge--on or off the ice.
I keep my educational offer on the table--six weeks of submissive lessons. Six weeks to learn how to drive a Dominant man crazy, and then we part ways as friends.
What do I have to lose? Except what's left of my heart?

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Ok a dtory of another chance in love, it was cute ang lovely, but ending..
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This book just made me feel sad from beginning to end. I wrote a long review at goodreads, but here I will just say, I felt like it was a disappointing premise. The heroine changes to be good enough in bed for him, and it’s just distasteful and disturbing. I give three stars because it mostly kept my attention, but it doesn’t read like a romance. Maybe an attempt at erotica, but all the humiliation and literally damaging her body with bruises, rope burns, etc that last for days and days were so horrific that it wasn’t sexy. In fact, we never really see them in a relationship beyond his desire to cause her pain and her desire to please him regardless of self respect or self protection. The author repeatedly TELLS us how much he loves her. But we never SEE it until the end when he tells her he’ll give it up if he has to to keep her, but of course, no...she’s decided she wants to be made to kneel on tile for 45 minutes, stand in corners and get the crap beaten out of her. It’s impossible to imagine them having any semblance of normalcy- sharing burdens, just watching a movie or her being able to call on him for a shoulder to cry on or (shudder) being parents together. That’s not who he is to her. Which is a shame because people in love can be plenty kinky without having to be kinky every time and in every aspect of their relationship. This didn’t read like a romance. It read like a tragedy. What a sad life.
