Scottish rogue Brodie Kincade has never met a woman he couldn’t seduce, but he’s about to meet his match in sweet-tempered but often overlooked Lydia Hunt, a young Englishwoman he mistakes for her scheming sister Portia who hopes to snatch him up for a husband. Lydia Hunt knows she’s not her father’s favorite daughter. That honor belongs to her prettier younger sister, Portia, who has a talent for getting into trouble. When Lydia discovers that her father and sister have had a very angry Scottish rogue kidnapped in order to convince him to marry Portia, Lydia knows she must help the man escape. Yet she never imagined that the devastatingly handsome Scotsman would mistake her for Portia and abduct her as revenge and flee to Scotland.
I can’t believe that this is the twelfth book in this fantastic series & it's just as good & engaging as all the others. It could be read on its own but to fully appreciate it I'd highly recommend reading the whole series. Another fast-paced enthralling read with wonderful characters. I loved both Brodie & Lydia. He’s the quintessential highlander, though he's actually a lowlander, strong on the outside with a soft center, I loved everything about him. Lydia is the overlooked elder sister who loves to dance & not only on the dance floor as she leads Brodie on a merry dance in their adventures. They were perfect for each other & the road to their HEA was strewn with obstacles but made for an unputdownable read. I look forward to many more novels in the series especially Rafe & Aiden’s stories.

Great book. Really enjoyed it. Even got to like Porsha at the end, spoiled brat though she was to start. I wonder about Rafe and hope there's a story about Aiden.
