Well, KF does it again. Another duet that will have you laughing, screaming, cheering and most of all crying. This duet has already had me ugly crying a few times since I started it. I’ll admit, I was totally frustrated at the beginning and how the actual boyfriend came about and this is not a spoiler, it’s in the blurb, sort of. I sat that and said… Kennedy, I have never put down one of your books but I WILL NOT HESITATE IF YOU MESS THIS UP FOR ME.. lol no, for real. The first half of the book I was just really anxious for her to get into the grit of the story and it was a bit slow for me but since all of her duets require some serious detail and backstory I waited. What I did not expect was the climax of the story. I knew something was going to happen and to whom but the where, why, how and when was what got me. I felt something coming but the actual detail of it just threw me into a state of shock. Once that climax hits.. the book begins to take off. Kind of like when you’re listening to a really good song and then the beat drops and the song takes a completely different turn. Yep.. that’s what happened. Let me tell you… ALL of the characters in this book have their purpose. Hunter is strong, and sweet but annoying at first. Lennon is smart, beautiful and I can honestly say a little dense because she doesn’t see what apparently everyone else does. The friends and the sisters are all supportive in that tough love and naggingly annoying sort of way. Trust me they need it. What we’ll have to see later is how the parents do with everything going on in Hunter and Lennon’s life. Things are about to get real… sticky and I’m anxious to see just how sticky. Freaking cliffhangers… I can’t stand them. Ugh. Until next time.

I first read this book a couple of months ago and wondered how it would feel to listen, the narration is perfect with Aiden Snow as Hunter and you can hear the real raw emotions of these characters.

When Brandon dies, and the conflict of Hunters feelings for Lennon are heartbreaking to listen to. I love how in a hard time for the both of them all he seems to care about is Lennon. Making sure she eats, getting enough rest. He’s a dream come true. I don’t why I torture my self with all this angst!. It’s always satisfying seeing characters work through trauma just to be together in the end after just a heartbreak.

Losing your best friend and the love of your life can not easy. I just love how Hunter was their for Lennon through her grief and sadness and not caring about himself.

When we were first introduced to Hunter in the prolong about his older brother Hayden and high school sweetheart Savannah, I did not expect this type of character. Kennedy Fox is amazing with all characters, and their secondary ones make you want to learn more about them and their story.

What the hell was the last two sentences? This book was just okay for me, but I must read the next one to know what the hell is happening.
