About this audiobook
This story doesn't have just one murder; it has TWO murders...Once again, Anna charms readers with her witty and candid commentary. This was definitely a juicier case than the last one. - Sandra's Book Reviews
In this second installment of The Anna Romano Mystery Series, Anna gets herself into a mess that lands her in hot water with the prime suspect and her new Bo, Detective John Solace.
Their new romance was going great, when all of a sudden, a simple trip to the grocery store turned into a wrestling match between two scorned women. Piquing her interest for a juicy story, Anna’s snooping to find out more about the seemingly ‘innocent’ love triangle, catapulted her into the middle of a murder investigation.
The murder weapon of choice? A red stiletto…conspicuously pointing the police in the direction of a female assailant. No one knows whether the adulterating husband killed his wife to avoid a costly divorce, or if his mistress killed her in a fit of jealousy and rage. While the detectives are convinced the husband is the ‘killer’, it seems Anna’s faith in his innocence may be in vain, as additional bodies, and mistresses, keep piling up.
Meanwhile, Anna’s publicist, Shirlene, tries to convince Anna to leave the detective work to the police, but, as usual, falls on deaf ears. In the end, not even a pan of lasagna and a neighborly smile could save Anna!
Find out in A Bloody Stiletto, Cold Lasagna, and a Bestseller if Detective Solace will be able to handle Anna’s crazy antics, or if he will make her vow to stay OUT of the realm of ‘Murder and Mayhem’ once and for all.
Cheryl Denise Bannerman
Even at the age of seven, she would sit for hours on end reading about faraway lands, intriguing characters and intoxicating storylines. And by a pre-teen, she was writing poetry for publication and short stories for school that moved the reader to laughter, tears, and sometimes anger. She was an old creative soul from a young age, experiencing way too much ‘life’ than she would have liked. Now this little girl is all grown up with a child of her own. A child who also loves to write, and even has a unique and masterful talent to draw. When Cheryl Powell (pen name, Cheryl D. Bannerman) is not writing for her next book, she is running her 21-year old virtual B2B Training and Development company based out of her Orlando, Florida, home. Since 1996, she has been known as an Instructional Design and e-Learning Specialist — with clients all over the US and overseas — creating classroom training materials, e-Learning modules, job aides and more for corporate employees and their clients. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master of Science degree in IT Project Management and Leadership, and manages multiple projects over various time zones as an expert Service Provider. Her wide range of training experience, from classroom-based as a Computer Instructor to online universities as a Professor, all the way to the corporate arena — in conjunction with her background in Technology — has greatly contributed to her success in the field of Training and Development. In her spare time, she loves to read murder mysteries, attend museums, watch movies, try new restaurants and cuisines, shop with her daughter, and take in the sun on the beach. And, although this author’s works are fiction, she has incorporated many of her personal life’s experiences into their stories. Cheryl Powell is pleased to announce that she is now represented by R.J. Garis Agency .
