About this audiobook
An achingly authentic and raw portrait of love, regret, and the life-altering impact of the relationships we hold closest to us, this YA bestseller is perfect for fans of Kasie West, All the Bright Places, and Dear Evan Hansen.
If he had been with me, everything would have been different . . .
Autumn and Finn used to be inseparable. But then something changed. Or they changed. Now, they do their best to ignore each other.
Autumn has her boyfriend, Jamie, and her close-knit group of friends. And Finn has become that boy at school, the one everyone wants to be around.
That still doesn't stop the way Autumn feels every time she and Finn cross paths, and the growing, nagging thought that maybe things could have been different. Maybe they should be together.
But come August, things will change forever. And as time passes, Autumn will be forced to confront how else life might have been different if they had never parted ways . . .

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I went into this book expecting it to be one of the saddest books ever.
The last 1% is very sad, but I've read much sadder things before. If you can relate to the situation in some way, that would definitely make it signficantly sadder. On the sadness scale I'd give it a 5/10.
As a whole the book is well written and has a lot of funny moments, but it felt very long and i got bored often.
Despite that, the whole book builds up towards the last few chapters which makes it worth reading through to the end.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Beautiful story of first love and unexpected love. Poignant and bittersweet coming of age story about who we are, who we think we are and who we realize we want to become.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved it SOO much, but I HATE it just as much. Autumn gave
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Maybe it was due to listening it on audiobook but it was too slow and couldn’t get into it. Did not even finish
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This book is so underwhelming. I should've known better than to follow the hype. This story dragged and dragged as I waited for the climax that never came. Characters were unlikable and lacked any real depth. Ugh!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I read it because someone picked it at book club it was okay
