About this audiobook

They disappeared . . . That was just the beginning.

When five strangers are abandoned on an island without any idea where they are or whom to trust, their nightmarish new reality begins to unfold.

Someone is lying. Someone is hiding a terrible secret. They'd all do anything to get home . . . Wouldn't they?

As the group struggles to uncover the truth about their mysterious whereabouts, only one thing is certain: every choice they make on the island will affect the others.

And when they uncover a strange note with a chilling revelation, the group begins to question everything they thought they knew. If they want to make it off the island alive, they'll have to discover who brought them there and why . . . before it's too late.

This was awesome! I read reviews on another site and people said that they got bored in the middle of the book but that was not the case. Highly recommend.

Pretty good bug, engaging storyline, twist was not up to Kiersten‘s usual quality. But the worst part was that two key passages were just skipped. All together, almost an hour is missing from this book.

It was an ok listen, but internal monologue of the main character was very annoying

Wow! The subjects that Kiersten Modglin can conceptualize are beyond great. This is the story of a woman who's struggling with her marriage and accepts an invitation from a stranger to go aboard a yacht while in the middle of her beach vacation with her husband.

The first few hours of the boat ride were all fun and partying, however, things changed when the boat suddenly stopped. This is when she noticed that the majority of the passengers were crew while there were just a few guests similar to her on board.

The crew explained the situation and the course of action that they would take to resolve the engine problem of the boat. The guests were taken to a deserted island and were left by the yacht and its crew. That's when things began to go downhill.

The majority of the story was focused on these guests being stranded on an island and trying their best to survive not just from the elements, wildlife and other matters but more importantly, they were trying to survive from one another.

The story was very intense especially when weird things began to happen. The action scenes can be felt and the setting, including the noises, the temperature and the things that surround the stranded individuals was written in a very detailed manner.

The plot twist was just a bit too farfetched and that made my decision to give this book a 4-star rating instead of a 5. This, however, did not hinder me from enjoying the story because it contains a lot of my favourite thriller novel elements such as an isolated protagonist, con men, gruesome death and a near-hopeless situation that the characters need to go through.

Absolutely fabulous. I wasn't sure which way this was going in a couple of the story lines, but it was perfect. Perfect. Ended perfectly in every possible way.

This was totally silly, overly dramatic and unbelievable. I kept listening thinking it would improve but it didn't. It kept switching between characters and was also hard to follow. Definitely a waste of time.
