- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I continue to love this series following Stevie Bell who is a great amateur detective. I found this one to be better than The Box in the Woods. It is a similar format to the others where we alternate between current events and flashbacks to the time of the crime. Stevie did get a bit annoying in this book, mostly with her frequent insecurities and paranoia about David’s feelings towards her. But overall I enjoyed this one!
