As a child I loved to create stories and fantasy worlds where I could remain submerged for hours on end. As I grew older I discovered the works of authors such as Jackie Collins and Anais Nin. These instantly opened my young mind up to a beautiful world of erotica and women's passion. As a student in an all-female boarding school in Zimbabwe, I started to explore my sexuality through writing short erotic stories. I remember that we had an undercover 'reading group' where we shared erotica stolen from parents' wardrobes or garages. The longer books would often be torn into more manageable parts, for example pages 1 to 100 would be one part, 101 to 200, 201 to 300 and so on. And the reading rounds would continue... It was whilst waiting my turn for the middle part of 'Delta of Venus' that I decided to start writing erotica. I was fed up with the long wait as my section had been cut off in a particularly juicy section. My first story was a re-writing of that story with my own ending. I seem to remember writing about a romp in the hay and a very well-endowed stable boy. My short stories became so popular with the other students that I soon devoted my spare time to writing short stories to contribute to the reading rounds. I was about 14 then. And a virgin. But with a very vivid imagination... Whilst I do love genres such as horror and thriller very much as well, I have always found that erotica is my natural calling. Much like Anais Nin, my passion for writing began very early on. Although my first novella length book will be published at the end of November 2012, I have been writing for years. I write when I am stressed, I write when I have things on my mind. Sometimes they are short stories, sometimes they are just ideas for my first epic novel. And sometimes I just write because I wake up in the middle of the night and need to get my thoughts out into words. Most of my characters are complex yet real individuals. They are much like the people I know in my own life, and maybe that other people know in theirs. Some of them are framed on real people, yet others are completely fictitious. They are easy to connect with I hope, their experiences resonate with readers because they could be your next door neighbour, your friend, you.... But they live deliciously wicked sexual lives. A lot of the time I start to write about a character I allow them to take shape on paper. Whether they will become the hero or the villain I leave up to them. They take on a life of their own, and their story becomes their own. They are not predictable and, much like everyday people they will take you by surprise. My only hope in sharing my stories with you is that you get to know these characters and love them or hate them for who they are.... Fall in love with them. Hate them. But all I hope is that you open yourself up to feel their personal experiences. Eden *When we stop telling stories, we might as well die.*view less
