During the months that followed, Laurie experienced many things that go along with being diagnosed with cancer. She was told the devastating news, feared the unknown, and realized the importance of good support right from the start. Laurie now works in home health care. She enjoys helping to educate families on memory loss in the elderly. She loves knitting, sewing, card making, jewelry making, playing the guitar, and spending time with her wonderful family. (Especially at her family property on Salmon Lake in North Belgrade, Maine.) Laurie lives in Oakland, Maine, where she raised her two now grown children, Matthew and Hannah, and her dog Wolfie.view less
