Married with two fully grown children, Raymond knows from personal experience what parental grief is like, having experienced the death of two of his sons. As his writing demonstrates, Wilson is a strong advocator of alerting others about the needs of bereaved parents and how to provide effective extended care to them. Besides his ministerial training, Raymond is also trained in the area of bereavement - he is available as an educator and workshop presenter in the faith community and he passionately shows how that ministry to the bereaved goes way beyond the time surrounding a person's death. In his workshops and educational presentations, Raymond demonstrates how effective ministry can take place, based on principles, illustrations, and lessons that are directly from Scripture. In his seminars, Raymond explores the many pages from the Bible that address the very issue of bereavement, especially over the death of a child. Along with his work, he continues to be a huge baseball fan of the Minnesota Twins and a college basketball fan of the University of Illinois. He is now a grandparent and, after living in Minnesota for thirty years, he and his wife, Penny, currently reside in Arkansas.view less
