In 1959, she moved to Kentucky, where she has lived ever since, raising four children and more recently welcoming eleven grandchildren. Fitch began writing poetry in college, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in art from Asbury University. Her poetry was published in Outstanding Poets of 1998 and the National Library of Poetry’s Sketches of the Soul.
Fitch’s imagination and joy at sharing stories with her children and grandchildren has led her to publish this book. Last year, after a four-year battle with cancer, Fitch received a clean bill of health and a new drive to share her stories. When Fitch isn’t writing, she enjoys painting and cooking new creations from the Cooking Channel. She lives in Wilmore, Kentucky, with her husband of fifty-three years.view less
