Besides doing volunteer counseling at a battered women's shelter, she has co facilitated a support group and served as a court advocate for battered women. As founder of several Alcoholics Victorious groups, she has worked extensively with disturbed and abused women. Among the books she has authored are Broken and Battered, I Wish I Could Say I Love You and A Victorian Marriage, and she has had articles published in numerous magazines.
