Upon his eventual retir...view moreRobert C. Daniels grew up in Waupun, Wisconsin. After graduating from Waupun Senior High School with the class of 1976, he joined the Navy to see the world. Upon his eventual retirement from the service as a chief petty officer, and after indeed seeing quite a bit of the world, he attended and graduated from Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, VA, Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and the American Military University in Manassas Park, Virginia, earning an AA in Liberal Arts, a BA in History, and an MA in Military Studies, respectively. He currently lives in Chesapeake, Virginia, with his wife and their cherished pets where he teaches adjunct history at both the University of Phoenix and Tidewater Community College.
He is the author of 1220 Days: The story of U.S. Marine Edmond Babler and his experiences in Japanese Prisoner of War Camps during World War II and numerous essays and articles on World War II and other military conflicts.view less
