Claybrooks is the author of the heartfelt, Detroit-based novel, "Second Time Around." By profession, Shatton A. Claybrooks is a District Literacy Specialist & Coach for a Michigan charter school district. She is also the Founder/CEO of READucation Consulting, an intensive reading clinic, providing a literacy-based focus on reading education and development. She founded READucation Consulting for two reasons. First, she is beyond passionate about EVERYTHING literacy! Second, she wanted to share the expertise and training that she mastered in the beginning of her teaching career with novice and experienced educators who are struggling to teach reading. As an educator of 26 years, Shatton holds an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts, a Bachelors Degree in Social Science, specializing in Sociology, a Masters of Arts Degree in Education, specializing in Curriculum & Instruction, as well as a Masters Degree in Education, specializing in Elementary Education.
Shatton is a bible teacher who enjoys reading the word, cooking new dishes, spending time with her very close friends and family, and teaching the Torah and Hebraic roots of the faith in Messiah.view less
