Adachi is in remembrance of his Japanese wife. He lives in Japan. Melanesian Girl is his first novel.
On retiring, he was on JICA assignment to an engineering university in Papua New Guinea for some years. The well-traveled Amjad now spends his time teaching in universities in Pakistan as a visiting faculty.view less
