Educated at the Harvard Medical School and the University of Chicago, her research on attitudes and behavior has been continuously funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for the past decade. Dr. Tindle has received numerous awards for her research and has published numerous scientific articles on mind body medicine, psychological attitudes, smoking, and heart disease, which have gained media attention from Parade, The Los Angeles Times, The Chicago Tribune and the BBC, among others. In addition to her roles as a researcher and a professor, she is also an active member of the American Heart Association, the Society for General Internal Medicine, the American Psychosomatic Society, and the Society for Research on Nicotine and Tobacco.view less
