achieve greatness. A healthy lifestyle is a wealthy lifestyle. It is a message Gerren has learned
from his own life and one he helps others attain within their life.
Eternal Education
Gerren earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Old Dominion University and
a master's degree in executive leadership from Liberty University. Gerren's formal and
non-formal education (life experiences) distinguishes him with the ability to help spark
motivation in others. His perseverance and determination along with a continued process of
self-education leads to his ability to assist others in accomplishing their goals.
Gerren's passion to enjoy life and his appetite to realize success in himself along with
others helped him to achieve greatness. He overcame many obstacles from socio-economic
conditions and surviving over 7 automobile accidents. He has served in many capacities
from a Radio DJ to marketing executive; from community activist to community leader;
barbershop owner to a government auditor; and from a published author to premier keynote
speaker.
Motivational Experience
Post Y2K, Gerren owned StarStyles, a barbershop located in Virginia Beach, VA. This
provided Gerren with great opportunities to develop his leadership skills. He delivered
numerous employee motivation and diversity training within this position. Gerren has
worked with many high profile companies to assist in completion of their organizational
mission. Some of the companies include, but are not limited to: Bank of America, Eastern
Virginia Medical School, Navy Exchange and Nielsen.
Gerren recorded motivational notes to help assist him through college and running his
business. He found these notes very helpful and elected to publish them in 2008 after an
automobile accident rendered him temporarily disable. He titled the compilation of the
motivational notes and exercises as Combination 2 Success. Since publishing the greatest guide
to achieving goals in the 21st Century, Gerren has conducted uplifting and motivational
training sessions for the Department of Defense, Norfolk State University, Old Dominion
University, private companies, and non-profit organizations. Combination 2 Success has been
featured at the 19th Annual Baltimore Book Festival and is available for eBook purchase at
Barnesandnoble.com. Gerren has written blogs that received over 20,000 views and he has
also written published articles for the Virginia Pilot and Mace & Crown newspapers.
Gerren formed Real Manifestation, LLC; a company that creates and distributes digital
products to stimulate business growth. The digital products supply varies based on media
and content usage. Real Manifestation, LLC also specializes in social media promotion and
