Cushner wrote two weekly columns for suburban Boston newspapers for seventeen years including, the Brookline Citizen, Brookline Standard and Tab Newspapers (200,000 readers) and a monthly column for Boston Magazine. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College and Boston University Law School. He speaks and teaches several languages and has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Central and South America. He writes about places where he has traveled and lived. He is a sailing enthusiast, private pilot, accomplished alpine climber, trap and pistol marksman, and enjoys fly-fishing and skiing.
