Elspeth Robb was born in Corby, England in 1963 of Scottish and Irish ancestry. Her father is a Robert Burns man, her mother a retired teacher. Elspeth was educated in local school...view moreElspeth Robb was born in Corby, England in 1963 of Scottish and Irish ancestry. Her father is a Robert Burns man, her mother a retired teacher. Elspeth was educated in local schools, and later majored in Art History at The University of Essex. In 1988 she moved to Syndey with her first partner, an academic economist, where she did a Masters in Journalism at The University of Wollongong. Her career has been in publishing, and while in Australia she also began to write short stories. She later married a Chinese Australian, had a baby and moved to Singapore where her husband worked as a futures broker. It was there that she developed the ideas that would become her first novel, Domestic Bliss. She currently lives in Bristol with her family and is now working on her second book.view less
