During their first free autumn and an extended trip to California, their niece and nephew asked them to recommend some California must-see sights. What followed, after ten months of learning how to design a website, was Third Age Traveler, an ezine for those with the freedom to travel from a real traveler's point of view. Third Age Traveler included an online travel agency and Wendy's recommendations for intriguing destinations, tips to make travel easier, books that travel well, restaurants worth visiting, and photographs to bring smiles. As blogging became the way to connect, Third Age Traveler the website eased itself into Third Age Traveler the blog (minus the travel agency) at www.thirdagetraveler.blogspot.com with subscribers all over the world. That is where Third Age Traveler exists today. Using Blogger’s own counter, one can see that Third Age Traveler is often visited by people looking for good information. Meanwhile family, friends, and readers prodded Wendy to finally take the big step and write a book about her travels. Reviewing her notes and photos and learning about independent publishing, she settled on what will be a series featuring a different kind of travel book—a guidebook for those going and a memory book for those who have been. See Sedona is the first of the series with plans to bring out See Oahu and See Hawaii, the Big Island in early 2013, and then.... It all depends where the travel whim takes them.view less
