Over the past 20 years, I have worked in 7 different church offices as secretary, but currently work in our local newspaper's call center as well as for a non-profit organization as a receptionist. I fit writing in however and whenever I can, be it journaling or letter-writing, reviews of books, movies, music or travel sites, devotionals or Christian-themed fiction stories.
Several years ago I had the honor and pleasure of editing a book of stories in memory of the late John Denver. It started as a personal project I felt the need to do after he passed away in 1997 to honor his memory because of how his life and music had inspired me. I opened up the project to other John Denver fans, intending to put together a simple little scrapbook of memories which I would then make copies of for all who participated. Never did I dream more than 100 submissions would come flying in -- not only from fans, but even personal friends and family of John Denver's. I now have a 300-page book which has not yet found a publisher. Maybe Smashwords is where I will find a way to finally share these wonderful stories with others. This project became the adventure of a lifetime, the experience of which I will always treasure, as well as the friends I met along that journey.
Writing is a passion that I would love to see one day become a profession, but until then, I just want to write!view less
