While serving he started writing mostly poems and songs during his down time. He served four years in U.S. Navy and was able to travel to places and see things that continue to inspire him. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy after fulfilling his service contract in 2002. He then returned to his home town of Ogden, Utah, obtained a full time job and enrolled at Weber State University. He received an Associate of Science degree in 2006 and then enrolled in WSU's journalism program. The journalism program allowed him to use his creativity and develop his writing. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication/Journalism in 2009. In 2010 he began work on his first novel, Starved: the Tale of Eugene the Vampire.view less
