Jim taught public speaking and debate at both the high school and university levels. Many of his students went on to win national titles, and later to become managers and CEOs of some of the best corporations in the world. Jim is extremely proud of those students. Jim has always said, “My real reward is helping others succeed.” For many years he was a business trainer in public speaking and served as a Product Manager, Sales Manager, and Manager of one of the largest corporations in America.
He went on to own and operated his own consulting firm directed at helping companies train their employees in communicating effectively.
For the past several years he managed a successful company in New Zealand. He returned to the United States in 2008 and now spends his time writing and sharing his experience with others
Jim is a U.S. Navy veteran who served as a metal smith and Master-at-Arms on the USS Gunston Hall (LSD 5), an old amphibious ship, during the cold war in the Pacific. He was on operations in Vietnam and steamed off the coast of Cuba during the Cuban Missile Crises. Jim loves life and people. He is one with a smile for all and never takes himself too seriously. Jim is a lover of life, and anticipates each new day as an exciting challenge. He has spent his life helping others to think on their feet, keep a positive attitude, and turn every problem into an opportunity.
