Will worked for many years in advertising as a copywriter and then expanded into concept design for both print and electronic media. The origins of this work go back to 2008, when the first concepts were focused for the 6 to 8 year old reader. It was simply titled "Little Witches"The central characters were the same as now, Cordelia and her older sister Mer, who then, being around 6 and 7, were mainly involved in magical pranks. These misdeeds invariably got them, their friends, and family, into a whole lot of trouble. It wasn't until 2009/2010 that it was reasoned the story required a much larger canvas with a more dramatic storyline. This meant ageing the central characters to around 12 y.o., and providing them with very sinister adversaries. They came in the form of 'The Witches of Ice'The initial title of the revamped story was "Out-Witching Witcdom".However, although this title indicated there was some kind of challenge involved, it fell short of putting the adversaries out in front as it were. Thus their dramatic adventures became titled "Cordelia and Mer and the Witches of Ice" -Book 1 Gloom.Today, Will is busily working on book two; "Doom", which promises a devastating finalé. This is due for release late 2020-21.Thanks for reading.view less
