I began my studies in the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, at the National Technical University of Athens, because... I was a top student and excelled in mathematics. My love for sports made me change study path and, despite significant others' expectations, I re-enrolled in Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I then earned a scholarship for Postgraduate studies (MSc) in Sports Psychology and Teaching, in Ithaca College, New York, and another to pursue a Doctoral degree at the Department of Psychology, University of Wollongong, New South Wales (Australia). In terms of work, I've spent two decades lecturing in various tertiary Educational Institutions (Sydney University of Technology, American College of Thessaloniki, Aristotle University and Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, and City College). I have been the Head of the Department of Psychology, City College, International Faculty of the University of Sheffield for a decade. I also worked as a professional speaker and consultant and presented numerous seminars and workshops on topics related to human resources, motivation, stress management, etc. At the time that this bio was written, I lived in Melbourne and worked as Program Director at Swinburne Online in Melbourne.I have published more than 40 research articles related to Stress and Coping, Motivation, Academic Achievement, and Smoking in academic journals, a manual for managing small-medium enterprises, a number of articles in popular magazines, and two books. My first book on Change Management 'Prince to frog... and vice versa! Applied psychological techniques for the accomplishment of changes in our lives' was published in 2000 and has since become a popular reading guide for people from all ages and backgrounds. My second book 'Idiots are invincible' deals with Stress and Problem Solving. Both have or are in the process of being translated from Greek to English, and Bulgarian (more languages later).
