These are the words I repeatedly shouted while entering a whole fleet of stores in a Boston suburb while helping to open a new restaurant that served sandwiches.
When it comes to marketing a small business I have done it all. I scrubbed and mopped the floors and bathrooms, I camped out in radio station waiting rooms with toaster ovens and product waiting to get the opportunity to talk about it on the air for free. DJ’s love free food. I set up outdoor speakers and got top quality djs to work an event for free because the publicity I promised would be like having a free commercial in front of hundreds or thousands of potential customers. I dressed up in costumes like a milkshake, and a cowboy, a clown, a superstar, you name it, I wore it, all in an attempt to capture an eye and draw a crowd.
I designed and implemented revolutionary systems that led to a fast food chain increasing the record opening sales for a new restaurant by over 100% and repeated that 3 times.
When it comes to driving sales, I drove them. I used balloons and jumpies, I created and produced 14 day event calendars to generate excitement and bring back customers day after day. I also taught business owners how to market their businesses successfully by following an ongoing process that always works. You don’t have to dress up like a clown, but in today’s competitive marketplace, you do need to promote yourself.view less
