I love Africa and feel fo...view moreI was born in Rhodesia and educated there. I grew up on a tobacco farm in the far noth of the country, moved to South African in 1968. I am married and have four children.
I love Africa and feel for her problems and have the advantage of hind site. Parts of the narritive explore how different the turmoil of African could have been. I also see that the exploitation of African has shaped her into what she has become. however, I still love Africa with all her problems and the beauty that lies within her.
In reading TANA my hope is that my readers will see Africa as a land of many peoples, all of which have a right to be who they are and to keep thier customs, hopefully over layed with love and respect.
And watching Candy grow up in unusal circumstances, that at times overwhelm her.
