He has taught at Emory University (post-doc), University of Notre Dame (fellow), University of Johannesburg and now teaches international studies at Marymount Manhattan College. He has intensive ethnographic experience of emergent social formations when states disintegrate in war-torn Africa: in DRC, Rwanda, Burundi and Uganda. His theoretical interests include the dynamics of conflict, new state formations, transnational trade networks, ethnicity and global political and economic governance.view less
