He has been writing poetry over the past 17 years and never imagined of publishing any book, but after the loss of his older brother Marcus, that was the catalyst that made it all possible. His latest book entitled “The definition of a man” released in April 2012 and has been well received by those that have supported him in his latest project. Marlin is now embarking on his second book entitled “In my own words”, reveals a more personal tone of how his words breed life into falling in love.
In addition to his love of writing, fashion is another love of his. He has been interested in fashion ever since he was a young boy. So he decided to launch his own brand, while embarking on his own style, patterns and colors that rival anything currently on the market. He has searched the globe to find some of the most unique silk brocades, Dupioni silk, and silk Habotai fabrics from such places as Vietnam, Hong Kong, UK, and India just to name a few. Today (he) is happy to announce to the world TaylordBlu Inc. Clothing Brand; his line consist of custom bow ties, neck ties, pocket square’s and suspenders. His philosophy is a successful man will always dress in ways that reflect his own personal style, that's why his tagline is "Custom made, individually inspired." His hope is to take fashion back to a time where all men, no matter of their social-economic background took pride in what they wore in public. A time where Fedora hats, overcoats, oxfords and suspenders were a part of every man’s wardrobe and dominated the night life. Fashion can be the voice of one’s personal style spoken through clothing, and that’s what he intends to do, be the voice of men’s fashion.
In addition, his creativity extends well beyond the fashion world and parallels his writings. I hope reading his poetry will help you to understand and appreciate his metaphorical vernacular. His newest venture involves using his poetry and creating his own custom greeting cards that rival anything on the market currently. Marlin has found inspiration in writing not only poetry, but in general. One thing is true words are powerful... he hopes to reach, inspire, provoke thought as we navigate through the mountains and valleys of life.
