She believed God had called her out of social work and into a ministry of counselling—a belief that has stood the test of time: Footprints is still offering its services in 2013. Over the years, it has evolved into Footprints Connection and now includes, amongst other services, one-to-one spiritual direction and group events such as Art & Soul.
She is also part of a team offering Quiet Days at Whirlow Grange Spirituality Centre in Sheffield.
As an experienced counsellor, spiritual director, and group facilitator, Janice Speddings has all the right credentials to write this soul workout book, but it is no dry, academic tome on spirituality.
Her style of writing is down-to-earth, sometimes humorously anecdotal, but always with a serious message behind it.
