Both are professors at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Matalene also teaches at the Center for Academic Excellence at MUSC and is a member of the Charleston Historical Society. Chaddock is a member of the South Caroliniana Society, the History of Education Society, and the Southern History of Education Society. Both reside in the Charleston area.view less
